Chesapeake Energy announced a deal Monday 2/25 to sell half of its oil and gas assets in northern Oklahoma to Sinopec, one of China's largest oil producers, for $1 billion. Chesapeake's shares dropped nearly 5% as investors worried that the embattled Oklahoma City gas company sold the assets at a discount.
WTF! Now China is stealing our oil? What kind of quid pro quo is afoot?!

Euro Zone recession not going away (GDP down)
4Q 2012 the Eurozone GDP fell 0.6%, its third straight decline [anualized value]. Full 2012 = - 0.5%.
Country-by-country: ITALY -3.7%
SPAIN -2.8%
GERMANY -2.3%
FRANCE -1.1%
PORTUGAL and GREECE too low to advertise here!
This is significant because the US economy is tied by trade to the Eurozone. When they can afford fewer imports, our exports will suffer.

Every Day More People Wake Up
...to the fact that the oil companies are manipulating the price of petroleum products to enrich themselves at the expense of the economy and consumers. Gasoline price increases like we've experienced TWICE this past few months are nothing more than Oil Interests (read everybody from drillers to refiners to retailers) GOUGING the captive buyer. I wonder how long it will be before somebody who is ruined by this scheme gets desperate or angry enough to take some punitive action...
